This podcast is hosted by Farnoosh Torabi. She is a financial strategist, television host and an author. She talks to inspiring individuals who tell stories about their financial journeys and gives tips and advice to the audience.
Farnoosh has an amazing story herself. She was $30,000 in debt at the age of 22 and managed to work her way out of it by adopting strong financial habits.
She saw a gap in the market – advice for young adults. There was nothing exciting or interesting out there for young people to get intrigued by in terms of taking control of their financial lives.

3. Listen Money Matters
This podcast was created by two guys and is all about managing your personal finances. The podcast is about simple wealth. They clearly state that their podcast is not about helping people to get rich quick – it’s about working hard towards achieving your financial goals.
Here is a list of some of the topics the guys cover in their financial podcasts:
- Income – it’s the basis of having a strong financial foundation. The podcast talks about things like having multiple incomes such as starting a side business or getting income from rent.

This podcast is by Robert Kiyosaki – he is the award-winning author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, and gives advice about business. Though he talks about the importance of having a spiritual mission and business mission, in order to instil a strong motivation to succeed.
3. Money news with Ross Greenwood
This is a podcast targeted towards Australians. It is hosted by Ross Greenwood, who is the Business and Finance editor of Channel Nine network. He has 30 years’ experience covering Australian financial matters – which is what makes him so great in providing financial insights.
He talks about broader political and economic issues in relation to finance.

4. We Study Billionaires
Otherwise known as the Investors Podcast, was created and is hosted by two guys who study billionaires and give advice based on what they learn from them. Their names are Preston Pysh and Stig Brodersen. Their advice is about investing. They give tips by talking about the books millionaires read, and passing on the best advice they pick up from talking to billionaires.

5. Real Estate Talk
This podcast is hosted by Kevin Turner and is all about investing in property. It’s a useful podcast if you’re thinking of entering the property market and wanting to know how to go about it. The podcast covers topics including, property investment, property development, property tax as well as negative gearing and finance. 6. Smart Passive Income
This is podcast created by a guy called Pat Flynn, which aims to teach people about running an online business and developing a passive income. This is something that that guys from Listen Money Matters talk about – having multiple streams of income, which is the key to wealth generation. He has an interesting story behind him too. He was laid off from his job only a few months before his wedding during the economic recession in 2008.

This podcast talks about all the money dilemmas that people go through in life. It is hosted by Anna Sale and was started in 2014. On the podcast audience members share stories and ideas. It is owned by WNYC which is a New York City Radio station.

8. Freakanomics
Freakanomics is an American podcast about all economics topics. It is hosted by Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner. Levitt is an economist and Dubner is author, journalist and TV personality. Freakanomics first started out as book, that was very successful. It provoked the creation of the second book, then a radio show and a film. Basically, the basis of Freakanomics is that it applies economic theories to huge diversity of different topics.
They answer questions like ‘What to do schoolteachers and sumo wrestlers have in common?’ Or ‘Why do drug dealers still live with their mothers?’ They start with a bunch of data and a question and produce interesting results.
It’s not really about personal finance, but it’s about economics, so the economic theories learnt could be applied and understand in listeners’ everyday lives.
